The Lands Between is an unforgiving space where boundaries are broken and sacrifices are taken in the pursuit of knowledge for Elden Ring players. Miriel Also called the "Turtle Pope" is a soft-spoken tortoise NPC that is a steward of the Church of Vows. While Miriel cannot move from the ruin of the church because of his legs not being as strong as they were however, the gentle tortoise much more than happy to act as a guide to players through teaching them tricks of the trade and incantations. Miriel gives the player an enlightening tale of legends of the world, all the while emphasizing his love of learning. He's not the type of character most people would attack. But folks do know that some NPCs within the Elden Ring drop items, many of which would be impossible to gain via quest lines. Therefore, the interest is there, to the point of being morbid.
