The skies in the Fadefields now host a big new World Event called the Airship Extravaganza. This event drops heavy loot and lots of experience, and it is a fast way to earn Borderlands 4 Cash if you know what to do. Players who like to test tactics without pressure can practice the boarding and escape steps in a private area or a quiet session until the timing feels right. The Airship event moves fast, so preparation and knowing the ropes will save you time and help you get more valuable drops.

Finding and Boarding an Airship
Airships patrol parts of the Fadefields on a regular loop, and you must spot one and then get aboard quickly. A clear sign that an airship will take you up is the glowing tractor beam under the ship. Stand in the beam and the ship will lift you to the deck. If you cannot find a beam, look for ladders, ramps, or smaller shuttles that ferry fighters onto the ship. The moment your boots touch metal, expect combat. Spawn points for enemies will be tight and frequent, so move with intent and check corners as you advance.

What to Destroy and Why It Matters
The main goal on the airship is to raise your Destroyed Order Value. Destroyed Order Value rises when you kill enemy crew, blow open cargo pods, and wreck key systems. Prioritize high-value containers and ammo crates because they bump your final payout the most. Break consoles and fuel tanks when you can, but do not waste time on tiny targets that slow your run. If you split the team, assign one player to clear corridors and another to hunt loot rooms so you keep steady progress without losing the momentum of the raid.

Hit Side Objectives for Bigger Payouts
Side tasks pop up during the event, and those tasks add big bonuses to your Destroyed Order Value. These objectives can include freeing prisoners, hacking armory doors, or destroying specific generators. Always check for the side objective markers and try to take at least one while you clear the deck. Completing side objectives gives more Borderlands 4 Cash at the end, so plan a quick detour if it costs only a little time. Small choices like that often double your final haul compared with a run that only focuses on kills.

Watch the Ship Timer and Escape Routes
The airship will fall apart as you deal damage, and the ship can start a self-destruct sequence. The event shows clear visual cues and sometimes a countdown when the ship is about to explode. Your team must leave before the blast or you lose loot and take heavy damage. Use the same tractor beam you used to get up there, or find backup exits such as side ropes, drop portals, or emergency shuttles. Assign one player to watch the timer and call the escape window so everyone leaves at once instead of scrambling at the last second.

Who Can Join and Why It Pays Off
The Airship World Event unlocks after you finish the story mission “One Fell Swoop,” so progress the main quest if you do not see ships yet. Once unlocked, the event will give steady amounts of Borderlands 4 Cash buy, gear pieces, and rare mods if you complete the key tasks. The payout scales with how well you hit objectives and how many side tasks you finish, so a focused team will walk away with far more than a sloppy group. Practice the flow once, then repeat it to maximize your take.
